Pearly and the Mutations

When the wave took Blue Pebble to the depths of the sea, he met new friends. One of the pebbles told him about mutants, but Blue Pebble didn’t believe him. He just continued to roll along the seafloor.

He spotted a pearl. He saw that the pearl was sad, so he asked how he could help.

The pearl explained that he lost his clam and that a mutated crab turned it into a mutant clam and now he cannot find it.

Blue Pebble told him that he would help him.

First, they came across a mutant fish.

“Hey, what happened to you?” – Blue Pebble asked the fish.

The two-headed fish explained that a strange crab pushed him and another fish while they were playing and that is how they became one.

Blue Pebble was curious, so he had to ask the mutant fish whether it speaks, thinks and eats with both heads. “Yes.”, the fish said.

Pearly explained to the fish how they were looking for his clam and the fish decided to join them.

When they went further on their way, they saw another pebble. It looked odd. “I don’t feel so good.”, he said. A moment later, cat ears sprung on his head.

“Meouwch!”

“Are you okay? You look odd. What happened?” – Pearly and Blue Pebble asked.

Cat-pebble said that it all began when he accidentally bumped into a strange crab.

“That crab again!”

They asked him if he had seen the clam and cat-pebble said that he was able to meet one, but it looked different.

Suddenly a dolphin appears.

The dolphin had an unusual feather at the end of his tail. And the feather grew after his encounter with the strange crab.

The dolphin also decided to join in the search for the clam.

While Blue Pebble and his friends were looking for Pearly’s clam, they came across another mutant pebble who had two feathers on his head, as well as a third mutant pebble who had a heart-shaped pattern on his body and a hat with little hearts.

Finally, they found the strange crab.

He was mad. And behind him was Pearly’s clam. Pearly came up to his clam and suddenly everything was able to be as before.

The clam turned back to normal, just as all the other friends, even the crab.

Crab later told them that he became mad when he ate a strange seaweed and he wasn’t able to calm down, and everyone he came across would become different, even though he didn’t want that.

Everything was fine again.
